Fight at campground sends one by air ambulance

Lewis County Sheriff's Deputies took Dylan Pugh into custody July 26, 2020 on charges of aggravated assault after a fight erupted at the Natchez Trace Wilderness Preserve, Sheriff Dwayne Kilpatrick reported.

Pugh, of Baptist Branch Road, Mount Pleasant, reportedly argued with his uncle, Brad Pugh, and an altercation ensued.

Others in the area called for assistance and attempted to stop the fight, a Sheriff's report indicated.

Brad Pugh was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center with unknown injuries. Dylan Pugh was in custody at Lewis County Jail at press time Tuesday.
