William Turner

William Anthony Turner, age 65, lost his battle with cancer while at home on August 11, 2020 surrounded by family.

Mr. Turner was born at the Boyce Clinic in Hohenwald on May 8, 1955 to the late Joe L. and Zina Mae (Sanders) Turner. He was a devoted son, father, grandfather, father in law, brother, and uncle.

Mr. Turner is survived by a daughter, Carrie (Jason) Bennett of Hohenwald; a son, Tony (April) Turner of Sharon; granddaughters, Cailey, Brooklynn, and Raegan McCann of Hohenwald; grandsons, Riley McCann and Blaine Turner of Hohenwald; sisters, Sue (Richard) Amacher and Sheila Turner of Hohenwald; brother, Richard (Kathy) Melton of Jackson; five step-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents. he was preceded in death by sisters Betty Peterson and Rachel West, and brothers Dexter Turner and Joe Turner Jr.

He was laid to rest beside his parents and brother with a graveside service at Graves Cemetery on Sinking Creek Road in Linden.at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 with Joshua Adair officiating.
