Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
We have had several good showers in the county that were really needed in many parts. It is the time of year when it really gets dry if there is not rain for the hot, dry wind dries the ground fast. The cooler nights, which stretch into the early mornings, have also been a welcome relief from the high temperatures, which we had early in the month.

If you have a daughter, or know someone who has a girl interested in becoming a Girl Scout, or an adult who would like to help with the Girl Scouts in Lewis County, we are getting this year started. We have programs for girls from kindergarten through 12th grade and all are welcome. At this time, we have meetings on Monday for fourth and fifth grade girls, on Tuesday for kindergarten through third grade and on Thursday, girls in sixth grade and up can get set up in a troop. If interested, contact me at 931-796-3880.
With the coming fall season, the leaves are already beginning to fall due to the dry weather. We will soon be seeing the beautiful colors of the season. God paints a beautiful picture with all the varied colors. Hope you will have the time to enjoy them and get out and see the wildflowers that God has given us to enjoy at this time of year. You may especially enjoy them along the creeks and rivers in the area.
Prayers for you to have a healthy and happy week and month coming up in your life.Hope you are able to get out and enjoy the world around you. Please remember those less fortunate and visit if you can, and if not, then call or send a card. It always makes those shut-in feel better to receive visits, cards or calls from others. It shows we care.
