LCHS Golf competes in District

The LCHS Golf team traveled to Lawrenceburg Golf and Country Club on Monday, September 14, 2020 to play in the Region 6 District 12 Tournament. All individuals played a full 18 holes for the tournament.

In girls' play, Summertown had a sweep of the top three finishing positions with Lanie Campbell finishing as low-medalist with a 67, Karlie Campbell a 69, and Kaley Campbell a 78. Lewis County's Jayden Harris finished the tournament with a 132.

Summertown finished first in the team match with a 136, Cornersville second with a 174, and Perry County third with a 193.

In boys' play, Summertown agan finished 1-2 as Cole Campbell was low medalist with a score of 70 and Harrison Gobbell finished with a 75. Hampshire's Keenan Anderson finished third with an 80. Lewis County's Andon Lowery finished fifth on the day with an 83. Brody Whitlow finished with a 103 for the Panthers, and Kerry Reynolds a 126.

Summertown edged out Perry County for first in team-play with a 329 to Perry County's 335, and Richland was third with a 382.

With a fifth place finish in individual play, Lewis County's Andon Lowery qualified for the Regional Tournament. Coach Tim Tiller was pleased with the growth of his team. "This group has improved all season long, shooting better each week and competing," Tiller said. "We are excited to have Andon Lowery moving forward to represent LCHS in regional play."
