Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
Lewis County Senior Citizens Board of Directors recently appointed former mayor Bill Webb to serve as the new director of the Center, filling the position vacated by the passing of Director Becky Carroll.
The Center was allowed to re-open from the COVID-19 epidemic on Monday, October 5 with state guidelines in place. Everyone entering the building must have temperature checked, answer five questions, hands sanitized or washed and maintain social distancing. Mask are not required but recommended.
Pre-ordered prepared meals are available at the Center, but are not allowed to be eaten inside the building.
The Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. It will be closed Friday, October 9 for the festival and Monday, October 12 for Columbus Day.
"I am very excited to be working with the Center," Webb stated. "All the funds were raised for the item Becky had been working so diligently toward. The new central heat and air units have been installed," he concluded.
