Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
Gwenda Lanell Luna, age 75 of Hohenwald, passed away October 4, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Center in Lawrenceburg.
Ms. Luna was born in Waynesboro to the late Rod and O'dell Luna on October 19, 1944.

During her senior year of high school, she won the Homemaker of the Year award. When not working, she enjoyed spending time in nature, often visiting Cane Creek and the Buffalo River to cool off with a leisurely swim.
Ms. Luna was described as a remarkably simple woman that enjoyed thrift shopping looking for a good deal and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her infectious smile was said to light up any room.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters, Valerie (Randy) Mashburn of Lawrenceburg and Kenda (Ken) Crowe of Hohenwald; one son, Tommy Lawson of Virginia; grandchildren, Tiffany (Devin) Ransom, Sarah Crowell, Jeremy Barber, Ashley (Jeffery) Biondo, Samantha Crowe, Zechariah (Brenda) McCallister, and Hannah (Cole) Parks; 14 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jerri Lou Kelly, Wanda Lomax, and Bill Luna, all from Hohenwald.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Naomi Alkire; and sisters, Margaret McGee and Jean Hinson.
