Harold Delano Sublett of Hohenwald passed from this life to his eternal home on the morning of October 6, 2020 at the age of 86, after a battle with Covid-19.
Harold was born to the late William and Georgia Sublett on July 31, 1934, in Toney, Alabama. In 1963, he married the love of his life, Janice (Raper) Sublett. He served for two years in the United States Army.
Harold had a passion for photography, and made that his career. He was a self-employed photographer, owning Sublett's Studio, and served Hohenwald for many years. He also loved history and published the book, History of Lewis County in the 1980s. In his spare time, he also enjoyed playing his keyboard.
Harold and Janice were dedicated members of the Lomax Church of Christ in Hohenwald.
Along with his wife, Janice, he is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Dawn (Clarence) Potts of Chattanooga, Kellie Renee (Jimmy) Willis and Christie Lynn (Ty) Dickey, both of Hohenwald; a son, David Sublett, of Tupelo, Mississippi; brother, Kenneth Sublett; sisters, June Estes and Carolyn Duncan; grandchildren, Kara Litteral, KarLee Wyatt, Shana Tanner, Brent Willis, Klent Willis, Kelcie Willis, Kolby Willis, Gy Dickey, Jake Dickey, Luke Dickey, Cheyenne Weatherford and Madelyn Sublett; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 15, at 1:00 p.m. in the Swiss Cemetery with Jeff Spears officiating.
