Vehicles were lined up on Smith Avenue onto Court Street Monday morning to use the free drive thru Covid 19 testing available that is provided by the Health Department. A surge of positive cases in Lewis County has been documented recently.

Free Flu Shots offered

Tennessee Department of Health will be hosting a free flu shot event November 19, 2020. Lewis County Health Department will be administering flu shots from 9 a.m. until 12 noon at Lewis County Memorial Park, 115 Smith Avenue.

Coronavirus update

As of Monday, November 2, there was 129 active cases in Lewis County, which was the highest recorded in our county.

The Lewis County School System had 19 out due to the virus and AHC Lewis County was hit hardest with 60 total cases, which is nearly 13% of Lewis County’s total cases at 491.

Unfortunately we have had 21 hospitalizations and lost 6 community members to the virus before print.
