"Fudd" Talley

Elmer "Fudd" Junior Talley went into the arms of our Lord and Savior on December 12, 2020 at his Hohenwald home surrounded by family.

Mr. Talley was born in Pleasantville on December 19, 1940 to the late Elmer and Rosie (Harper) Talley.

Elmer had made a lifelong career in the transportation business as a truck driver.

He was a member of Linden Church of God and left no doubt his love for the Lord and his church family. There were so many people in his life that he considered close enough to call family. He will be missed by not only his immediate family but his Hardee's family and his trucking family as well.

After retiring from the trucking industry, he found interest in many hobbies to occupy his time. He enjoyed landscaping his yard and tinkering with cars, trucks, and lawn mowers. The most impressive hobby was the carpentry skills he possessed. When entering his home, you immediately notice the craftmanship displayed in the beautiful shelves he made for his wife. The one thing Elmer enjoyed and loved the most of all, was spending time with his family. Nothing brought greater joy then the moments spent together making memories.

Along with his wife of 30 years, Grace Talley, he is survived by his children, Scott (Donya) Talley, Crystal (Michael) Gaddes, Suzy (Chris) Baker, Graidin Hensley, and Aidriana Hensley; and sister-in-law, Scherry Talley; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Willie Clay Talley, Era Shepard, Vera Shepard, and John Paul Talley.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Linden Church of God beginning at 2:00 p.m. Brothers Rick Cottrell and Matt McKnight will be officiating.
