Lucretia Ann Whitehead Long was born October 13, 1940 in Waynesboro, the daughter of the late Charlie Andrew and Ruby Louetta Morton Whitehead.She was united in marriage to Franklin Dee Long on May 20, 1961. Mrs. Long departed this life on January 8, 2021 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin at the age of 80 years, 2 months, 27 days.
Mrs. Long enjoyed working puzzles and attending the Salem Church of Christ, but above all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin Dee Long of Lawrenceburg; two sons, Andy Long of Waynesboro and Bobby Long (Natascha) of Lawrenceburg; three daughters, Deanna Campbell (Larry), Lucinda Belew (Bobby), all of Lawrenceburg, and Alicia Isbell (Marty) of Ethridge; fourteen grandchildren, David Aaron Wix, Shakeitha Beth (Wix) Chandler (Daylon), Tiffany Dison (Mike), Saskia Suratt (Corey), Stephanie Frazier (Justin), Adrianna Long, Deseray Long, Meagan Carroll (Brandon), Jessica Taylor (Jacob), Micah Isbell, Isaac Isbell, Lilyanna Isbell, Maylee (MayMay) Isbell; great-grandchildren, Max Dison, Chelsea Dison, Jaxson Spangenberg, Rylan Wix, Aliyah Chandler, Ellie Kate Chandler, Donovan Suratt, Aries Suratt, MerLyn Suratt, Sofia Frazier, Mason Carroll, Jace Taylor, Jessa Taylor,and Jax Taylor; brother, Harold Gene Whitehead (Becky) of New Johnsonville; special family members Christi, Chloe and Dallas Carrington.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Long was preceded in death by brother, Charles Whitehead and sister, Alice Mae Butler.
Service was held on January 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Waynesboro with Leon Cole and Marty Isbell officiating. Burial followed in the Whitehead Cemetery at Waynesboro.
