Nolah Shinn

Nolah Beatrice (Scully) Shinn, age 77, unexpectedly passed away at her Hohenwald home on January 24, 2021.

She was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Paul and Grace (Brown) Scully. Ms. Nolah was a member of Blondy Church of God in Hohenwald.

She had a personality larger than life with her contagious laugh and a smile that could brighten a room. She always enjoyed days out with Chandra's Charmers for lunch and meeting with her friends at church for a widows group gathering. She loved her ladies and looked forward to each time they were able to gather. She was constantly on the go and was a frequent visitor to local shops in Lewis County. While at home, she enjoyed watching her cardinals visit while working in her flower garden. She loved her family and cherished each moment she was able to be with them. Even those that were not related, she still called them her own.

She leaves behind her children, Bret (Carole) Hankins and Heath Hankins; granddaughter, Ally (Lain) Hinson; great grandchildren, Ezra and Poppy Hinson; brother-in-law, John Parker; nephew, Casey Parker; nieces, Tammy Russell and Cindy Anderson; and special neighbors, the Kelly Family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Shinn and her sister, Ruth Parker. Nolah also leaves behind her fur children, her cats Tiger and Tigger.

A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, January 27 at Blondy Church of God with Jeff Gandy and Paul Gandy officiating.

Adair Funeral and Cremation Services assisted the family with arrangements.
