Wayne Russell Beasley was born on March 19, 1947 and went to join his loved ones on February 18, 2021. He is survived by the love of his life, wife of 54 years, Doris Leverette Beasley; daughter, Candi Beasley Shaver (Jeff) of Lyles; son, John Aaron Beasley (Rhiannon) of Centerville; sister Loretta Bolton (Jim) of Racine, WI; brothers, Mark Beasley (Pam) of Fairview and Ray Beasley of Hermitage; step-brother. Don Hughes (Madia) of Fairview and step-sister. Debbie Fields (Cubby-deceased) of Fairview; grandchildren Scott Davidson, Alex Beasley, Annie Beasley (Annie Bug), Brayden Shaver, Kaleb Shaver, Karson Long, Eli Shaver, Natalie Brewer and Ellie Beasley; several nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Russell and Maxine Mangrum Beasley; step-mother, Betty Hughes Beasley; son, Joseph Russell Beasley; daughter, Lisa Beasley Davidson; granddaughter, Brianna Shea Long; and father-in-law, Frank Joseph Leverette.
Wayne retired from the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 572 Union and also from Belle Meade Police Department. Wayne and his wife owned and operated Fairview Grocery in Fairview for 16 years.
He loved his family and they always came first in his life. He loved gardening, fishing and golf. He enjoyed going to breakfast with his friends. He loved pulling pranks and telling tall tales.
He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force 1967-1971 during the Vietnam War.
Wayne was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and at the time of his death, he was serving as Executive Secretary for the Centerville Branch. Wayne and his wife were sealed for all time and eternity in the Nashville Tennessee Temple June 27, 2003.
Beasley's visitation was held on Monday, February 22, and a funeral service followed the next day at Fernvale Church of Christ Cemetery in Franklin.
