Earl Ray Stutts of Waynesboro was born March 28, 1933 in Hohenwald, the son of the late Kenneth Wesley Stutts and Sara Edna Beatty Stutts. Mr. Stutts departed this life on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 23 days.
Mr. Stutts was retired from Mallory as a shipping clerk. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Waynesboro. He was united in marriage to Imogene Edwards on October 11, 1957 and she preceded him in death on December 10, 2012.
He is survived by a son, Terry Stutts of Hohenwald; a daughter, Kim Hunt of Leoma; grandchildren, Jessica Ward and Dustin Stutts; great-grandchildren, Hudson Ward and Eden Stutts; sisters, Jo Ann Triplett of Lebanon and Pearl Akers of Savannah.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Stutts was preceded in death by a great- grandson, Conner Ward; a brother, Ralph Stutts and sisters, Lorraine Pettus, Elsie Davis, Arlie Holland and Ruby Pace.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro, with Jerry L. Robbins officiating.
Shackelford Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
