Joyce Faye Slayden Wilson, age 82, died Monday March 1, 2021. She was a native of Nashville and was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilson; daughter, Pam Bauer; son-in-law, Jerry Potts; parents, Jesse Howard Slayden and Beulah Jack Waye; and brother, Jesse and David Slayden.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of Tusculum Presbyterian Church and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Potts of Hohenwald and Wendy (Chris) Beggin of Murfreesboro; son, Jimmy (Kathy) Wilson of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Jessica (Jonathan) Hickerson and Joe (Dana) Woodard of Columbia, Jamie Burns and Lauren (Neylan) Barber of Hohenwald, Courtney (Tommy) Johnson of White House, Jake (Darinka) Beggin of Murfreesboro, Kelley Bauer of Nevada, Jennifer Bauer of Nashville, Patrick (Joey) Bauer and Kyle Wilson of Tampa, and Emily (Blake) Allen of Atlanta; son-in-law, Pat Bauer of Nevada; 26 grandchildren; brother, Preston (Linda) Slayden of Georgia; and sister, Patsy Slayden of Ashland City.
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro. Funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Ronnie Pittenger will officiate.
Graveside will be Monday March 8th at 9:00 a.m. at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
