Howard Pruitt Hyatt

Pruitt Hyatt, 97, of Hohenwald passed away on Sunday, March 14th, 2021, at his home. He was born on August 15, 1923, to Howard A. Dewberry and Nina Hyatt, in Lawrence County. He served in World War II in the United States Marine Corp.

He was married to the love of his life, Joanne (Hinson) Hyatt, and they lived a long and happy life together. He was a professional barber in Columbia for many years until his retirement. He and Joanne were members of the Baptist Church in Hohenwald.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne Hyatt of Hohenwald; children, Debbie Hyatt Qualls of Churchville, Maryland, Steve Hyatt of Wesley Chapel, Florida, and Pat Hyatt Campbell of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service and burial will be held Thursday, March 18 at 11 a.m. in the Swiss Cemetary.

McDonald Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
