Lady Panthers at Summertown

The Lewis County Lady Panthers travelled to Summertown for a tournament on Friday, March 12th and faced off with the Columbia Academy Lady Bulldogs.

With Kinlee Keltner on the mound for the Lady Panthers, the Lady Bulldogs pushed across an early run after a one-out single and a two-out double to take an early 1-0 lead. Kinlee Keltner belted a 2-out double and her courtesy runner Stailee Moseley would score after an error on a C.J. Tanner hit and a passed ball during a Taya Tiller walk to tie the game at 1 after 1 complete. Keltner would work a 1-2-3 top of the second inning to keep the score tied at 1.

The Lady Panthers would likewise go down in order in the home-half of the second inning and the game was tied 1-1 moving into the third and final inning of play. Kinlee Keltner would issue a leadoff walk and a single before working out of the inning by inducing a double-play ball and a groundout to end the Lady Bulldog third. Keltner again reached base in the third with a one-out single and was replaced by courtesy runner Moseley. After a fielder's choice retired Moseley, Taya Tiller was hit by a pitch to put runners on 1st and second with two outs before Brailey Carroll and Addie Osborne each delivered a run-scoring single and Claire Whitehead drove in a run on an error to take a 4-1 lead when time expired on the game.

Kinlee Keltner had 2 hits for the Lady Panthers including a double, Brailey Carroll had one hit, a run, and an RBI, Addie Osborne had a hit and an RBI, and C.J Tanner and Taya Tiller each scored a run. Kinlee Keltner picked up the win, going 3 innings allowing 1 run on 1 hit while walking 1.
