Gordonsburg/Little Swan News

Series: Gordonsburg | Story 45

We had a pretty good week weather wise and missed all the bad storms that could have come on Wednesday. We only had thunder and lightening with rain. Prayers for those in Alabama and other places where there was so much damage from tornados. Most days had some rain and was almost impossible to get in ball practices for the little ones, but some did practice in gym and other areas. The season is just getting started as many have games this week. Hopefully it will not be as rainy as last week.

Those who are sick or shut-in and in need of prayers for whatever the need: Burt and Sara Barber and family, David and Joyce Barnes, G. Y. Bennett, Connie Bonner, Dorothy Brown, Amy Carroll, Debbie Carroll, David Carroll, Joann Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Mary Ann Churchwell, Spencer Clark, Fada Clay, Billy Cothran, Johnny Dryden, Polly Edwards, Larry Evans, Buffy Farnsworth, Teresa Garland, Helen Hardin, Christy Hinson Graves, Tom Hornal, Mickey James, Monette King, Jackie McFall, Shirley Reeves, Bill Runions, Mona Runions, Nell Skelton, Freddie Sublett, Donnie Teefataller, Jim and Jan Walker, Diane White, and Annette Williams. Although it seems to be much better, please continue to pray for our nation that it will heal from this virus that has so long disrupted our lives.

Happy birthday to Elvis Hammack March 27, Raymond Runions March 29, Ian and Brooklynn Carroll March 30, Ricky Akridge March 31 and Erick Odom April 2. Wishing these many more happy days to celebrate life and hope they have a great birthday.

There was a birthday celebration at Jeanea Warf’s on Saturday afternoon for Aaron and Elinor Grace Eastep. Several relatives were in attendance including their aunt Kimberly and daughter Cheyene Collins and friend Mario along with many cousins and others. There was plenty of food and the children had a great time playing together as the weather was dry and somewhat warm and they could play outside.

Happy anniversary to Jim and Jan Walker April 2nd. We wish for them many more years to celebrate life.

We express sympathy to the families of Vickie Garland, Cynthia Nanette Carter Boyce, Howard Pruitt Hyatt, Anna Laura Kilpatrick, and Frances Lea Price. Prayers for these families and any other families who have lost loved ones.

Next week the children and teachers will be on spring break and many will be traveling on vacation, so remember those and pray for their safety. Some of the Girl Scout troops are planning a camping trip to NACO and are looking forward to it. We are even taking our little girls, which will be a first for them. This being the weekend before Easter, I am hoping we can do an egg hunt while we are there and have several activities planned for them.
