The Lewis County High School Lady Panthers were home team in a game against the Richland Lady Raiders on March 19th in Summertown.
Emma Tinnon drew the start for the Lady Panthers in the game, and the Lady Raiders got to her early with a leadoff single followed by a fielding error and another single to score two before the first out was recorded. The Lady Raiders would go on to add one more in the first on a pair of hits and walks to take an early 3-0 lead.
The Lady Panthers would go down in order in the home half of the first. In the second, the Lady Raiders would again put runners in scoring position with one out, and plate another run on a fielder's choice to take a 4-0 lead.
In the bottom of the second, the Lady Panthers would get a leadoff single from Nylah Halbrooks and would score on a 2-out single from Anna Kate Duncan to make it a 4-1 game.
In the top of the third, the Lady Raiders again pushed runs across, as consecutive one-out walks put runners on base and would score 3 in the inning after a double scored two and an error brought in another to give Richland a 7-1.
The Lady Panthers would get a one-out single from Tinnon, but she would be cut down stealing to end any threat and take the loss 7-1.
Nylah Halbrooks had a hit and a run, and Anna Kate Duncan and Emma Tinnon each added a hit.
Trojans down Lady Panthers
The Lewis County High School Lady Panthers faced off with the Collinwood Lady Trojans on Saturday, March 20th in Summertown.
\The Lady Panthers went down in order in their half of the first. Emily Graves started the game at pitcher for the Lady Panthers and retired the first two Lady Trojan batters of the game before back-to-back hits brought home the first run of the game and Collinwood took an early 1-0 lead.
In the second Emily Graves reached with a two-out single, only to be stranded on base as the inning came to an end.
Consecutive walks started the second inning rally for the Lady Trojans as a 2-out single followed by a 2-out error in the field plated three more runs for Collinwood to stake a 4-0 lead.
In the Lady Panther third it was another three up/three down inning for Lewis County, bringing up the Lady Trojans still holding on to the 4-0 shutout.
After the leadoff batter was retired, the Lady Trojans batted eight-straight batters before another out was recorded. A fielding error followed by a walk, a single, 2 more walks, and 2 singles plated 6 straight runs for Collinwood, and the game ended in a 10-0 final.
Emily Graves was the lone baserunner in the game for Lewis County, connecting on a second inning single.
Ladies lose to Wildcats
The Lewis County High School Lady Panthers softball team took on the Wayne County Lady Wildcats on Saturday, March 20th in Summertown.
The Lady Panthers would get on the board early as Emma Tinnon led the game off with a single and was moved to scoring position on a one-out sacrifice by Nylah Halbrooks. With two down in the first, Anna Kate Duncan drew a walk and Emily Graves drove in a pair with a two-out double, giving the Lady Panthers a 2-0 lead.
Emma Tinnon took the mound to start the game, and the Lady Wildcats wasted little time putting runners aboard. A leadoff single, followed by a one-out single plated the first run for Wayne County, and a walk, a hit batter, and a walk scored a run and loaded the bases for a pair of run scoring doubles kept the inning alive for the Lady Wildcats. They added to their lead by extending the inning with a walk and a double, and, in total, would plate 10 in the inning to take a 10-2 lead.
Lewis County would go down in order in the second, and the Lady Wildcats would come to bat up by 8. In the second, Wayne County got a baserunner on a one-out error and pushed the run across on a two-out double to take the score to 11-2.
The Lady Panthers would again go down in order in the third inning, and the Lady Wildcats returned to bat, now with a 9 run lead looking to end the game. A leadoff double followed by a walk put the game-ending run in scoring position and, with one out, a single to right brought the run in and ended the game 12-2.
Emma Tinnon had a hit and a run, Emily Graves had a hit and 2 RBI, and Anna Kate Duncan scored a run.

Lady Panthers
The Lewis County High School Lady Panthers softball team hosted the Wayne County High School Lady Wildcats on Monday, March 22nd at LCHS.
Emily Graves took the mound for the Lady Panthers to start the game and the Lady Wildcats put two on early, one via fielding error and one by a single, to put runners in scoring position in the first inning. Both Lady Wildcats would move around to score and take a 2-0 lead into the home half of the first inning.
The Lady Panthers went down in order in the bottom of the first. A leadoff double in the top of the second again put Wayne County in position to push runs across, which they did with a walk, 2 hits, and a fielding error that built up a 6-0 lead. A leadoff double by Graves to start the bottom of the second was negated by an inning-ending double-play and the Lady Panthers remained scoreless.
Back-to-back singles and a fielding error started the visitor 3rd and the Lady Wildcats added 2 more to their total and increased the lead to 8-0. The Lady Panthers were again taken down in order in the third, as were the Lady Wildcats in the top half of the fourth, and the Lady Panthers once more in the bottom half. In the top of the fifth inning the Lady Wildcats got consecutive two-out singles, but the Lady Panthers were able to close the inning out with no runs crossing the plate.
In the fifth inning Graves drew a leadoff walk, but she moved no further than second base as the Lady Panther’s next 3 batters went down in order.
In the top of the sixth inning the first two Wayne County batters walked, but a fielder’s choice, a single, a walk, and a double would bring in 3 more runs and take the score to 11-0. In their final opportunity, the Lady Panthers got a 2-out double from Emma Tinnon, but the next batter was retired by groundout to end the game.
Emily Graves had a double and walked, and Emma Tinnon had a double in the game for Lewis County.
