With another of ol’man winter’s temperatures for a few nights and even in the low thirties a night or two, many covered up garden items as well as some shrubs and flowers that were already in bloom. It seems that most things survived and will be growing as they should. Maybe we will not have any more temperatures that low.

Those who are sick or shut-in and in need of prayers for whatever the need: Burt Barber, David Barnes, G.Y. Bennett, Connie Bonner, Dorothy Brown, Amy Carroll, Debbie Carroll, David Carroll, Joann Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Stephen Carroll, Spencer Clark, Fada Clay, Billy Cothran, Bailey Cromwell - a fifteen year old who is in St. Jude at this time, Johnny Dryden, Larry Evans, Buffy Farnsworth, Teresa Garland, Helen Hardin, Christy Hinson Graves, Mickey James, Faye Kilpatrick, Monet King, Jerry McCann, Jackie McFall, Shirley Reeves, Mona Runions, Nell Skelton, Donnie Teefataller, Jim and Jan Walker, Diane White, and Annette Williams. There is still much sickness in our land so please remember all those you know of in your daily prayers and pray for the healing of our nation.

Happy birthday to Stephen Carroll, Jonathan Bates and Cruz Henderson the 30th, Walter Mears on May 2nd, Jamie Spears the 5th, and Donna Owen, Wayne Holloway and Brandon Morris the 6th; wishing for these many more happy days to celebrate life and hope they have a great birthday.

Happy anniversary to Caleb and Stevie Odom on May 3rd, and to Kevin and Melissa Grinder on the 6th. Wishing for them many more years to celebrate life together.

We express sympathy to the family of Michael William Monroe Sr., Wilma Jean Martin, Kenny Paul Graves, Joann Allen, Mecia May Cochran, James Richard “Jimmy” Hurt, and Shirley Faye Beard. Prayers for these families and any other families that have lost loved ones.

Wishing everyone a very good week and may you be blessed with happiness and health. The world is full of beauty and the springtime is one time that it is really beautiful. May you be able to get out and enjoy the warmer weather.

Praying that you and your family share in times together as this year is fast passing by and we will soon be entering the second half of the year. Time seems to fly as you get older and it seems that we never have the time to do the things that we want to do or people to see that we never get around to visiting.
