May is here and so are the flowers, but with it on Sunday and Monday, there was lots of rain and thunderstorms in the area. Some showed over three inches of rain on Sunday night and more on Monday morning. The creeks are up but not out of the banks yet, and hopefully they will not get out over the roads again this time.

Some of the Girl Scout troops went bowling this last Saturday and had a great time. Some of the older girls did laser tag and all enjoyed food at the bowling alley. It makes a great time to be together and share some fun experiences.
Don’t forget that this coming Sunday is Mother’s Day. If your mother is still with you, be sure to do something special for her. If not, I share your sorrow for mine is gone also.
For those who have loved ones at Palestine Cemetery, we will be having homecoming this year on May 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., and would be glad to have all those who have family buried there to come and help us raise money to keep the cemetery in good condition. As with all cemeteries, there are many families that do not seem to think it their responsibility to help with the upkeep, but if all families felt that way, then one of these days it would be overgrown with briars and brambles as it was once upon a time. So put this date on your calendar and plan to attend. You might want to bring a trash bag to put your old flowers in as our trailer is full and we have no one to empty it at this time.
Prayers for you and your family that you have a great week, and enjoy health and happiness that makes life better and easier. Take time to visit those that you can or call them and send cards to other shut-ins that cannot have visitors. This shows that we care for them when it is so hard to enjoy life for illness takes joy out of life.
Take time to enjoy your family for some day many of them will be gone and you won’t have the chance to see them or visit, and enjoy their company.
