October 27, 1943 - May 12, 2021

Neda Alice Dickey, age 77, a resident of Hampshire, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living.

A visitation was held on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 7:00 at Heritage Funeral Home. Barry Farris officiated. A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Born on October 27, 1943 in Maury County, Neda was the daughter of the late John Farris and the late Lois Patton Farris. Besides her work as a homemaker, she was an artist who enjoyed drawing, painting, and building things out of wood. She often enjoyed studying ancestry and going to yard sales on Saturdays. She was a God-fearing Christian lady and a member of South Point Church of Christ. Affectionately known as Memaw, Neda loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Steve Dickey of Hampshire; daughter, Donna Roberts of Columbia; brother, Lewis Farris of Columbia; sister, Angie (Bob) Young of Decatur, AL; grandchildren: Autumn (Jimmy) Carter, Brandon (Brianna) Roberts, Amber Roberts; great grandchildren: Braxton Roberts, Judson Carter, Josiah Neal; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Dickey on May 3, 2015, whom she was married to for fifty-three blessed years.

Pallbearers were Brandon Roberts, Jimmy Carter, Mark Richards, Bob Young, Matthew Young, and Joseph Brown.
