Well it is a peaceful day here in our little valley. We have finished lunch and I have my glass of sweet tea and I’m in the swing on the front porch. It is very humid but there is a little breeze blowing. I can hear the rumble of thunder and the sky is starting to get dark. Looks like we may get a storm, the cats have left the porch, I guess they can sense the storm coming. We sure have had a lot of rain, some of the gardens are a little late.
We were in Amish country last week talking to some friends. They said their gardens were late. You know we go from on thing to another, either it is too much rain or it is too dry. Well we can’t do anything about the weather, can we?
I heard on TV that the price on everything was going up. Well I did check on some items in the grocery store and they have gone up a little but not much. I don’t watch much TV because you only hear bad things. I’m too busy to listen to all the negativity, can’t do anything about it anyway. I just take one day at a time and do the best I can and try to help others and trust in the good Lord.
The neighbor is cutting hay, when the sun shines that is, he is hauling the big round bales.
Well I hear thunder, it sounds like it is getting closer. I’ve got clothes on the line so I’d better go get them in. It sure looks like and feels like rain, it has gotten nice and cooler. You know I sure like days like this and I really enjoy my front porch and of course my glass of Ma Evelyn’s good sweet tea. Lee Carroll can tell you about the sweet tea.
Well I’m going to get the clothes off the line before the storm and enjoy this day that God has made for me and you! He has it all under control and He is the light at the end of the tunnel.
God Bless.
