Floyd Haville Himes

April 5, 1951 - June 7, 2021

Floyd Haville Himes, age 70, husband of Charlotte McNabb Himes, and a resident of Hampshire, passed away Monday morning, June 7, 2021, at his residence.

Born on April 5, 1951, in Hohenwald, Haville was the son of the late Jim Himes and the late Eather Dunn Himes. He married Charlotte McNabb on August 5, 1972. Haville worked as a truck driver for thirty-five years before retiring in 1993. An extremely honest and hardworking man, after retiring, Haville began his own business working in scrap metal until just a few years ago. He loved playing cards at the men's club, riding around in his truck, regularly visiting the Amish, and sitting on his front porch watching the cows. He was a people person who never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl Clifton Himes and Ernest Edward Himes.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Daphne (Chad) Ingram of Pulaski, Tonya Himes of Mt. Pleasant, Joshua Haville (Kimberly) Himes of Lewis County, Kody (Madison) Pruitt of Hampshire, Kelsi (Daman) Doner of Columbia, Karissa Pruitt of Hampshire; brother, Sam (Barbara) Himes of Centerville; two grandchildren, Bailee Ingram and Marlee Ingram; and many precious nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 10, at Heritage Funeral Home with Paul Vaughn officiating. Burial followed in Pisgah Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Pallbearers were Randall Himes, Adam Himes, Leonard Embler, Timmy McKennon, Joe Bennett, and James Bradford.
