Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
We are still having thunderstorms pop up around the area but as far as I know there has not been much damage except limbs and debris along the roads and yards. Some have also had to work on fences where limbs and trees have fallen on the fences or damaged them. There was lots of rain in the area and the creek was up a little for a day or two but it ran down quickly when the rain stops.
Those that I know of that are sick at home, in the hospital or nursing homes are: G.Y. Bennett, Connie Bonner, Dorothy Brown, L.C. Bowen (home now), Amy Carroll, Joann Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Tommy Carroll, Spencer Clark, Fada Clay, Bailey Cromwell, Burry Farnsworth, Christy Hinson, Wayne Holloway, Mickey James, Faye Kilpatrick, Monette King, Colben Ly, Greg McCann, Jackie McFall, John Nati, Earl Rasbury, Tommy Rasbury, Shirley Reeves, Marsha Runions (having some problems with her feet), Mona Runions, Vera Runions (recovering from shingles), Boyce Sims, Neil Skelton, Brantlee Tripp (having tests), Jim and Jan Walker, Diane White, Annette Williams, and Selina Young.
Happy birthday to Nicholas Runions, Pam Graham, Derrick Johnston, Jimmy Lee Johnston, and Greg Baker the 24th, to Bobby Carroll and Shondra Carroll the 25th, to Addy Odom and Brad Holt the 26th, to Fran Mears the 27th, to Gerald McCann the 28th, Rhonda Turner and Karen Holt the 29th, Audrey Reeves the 30th, and Abbey McDonald the 31st.

We send congratulations to the five and six year olds who played in the state tournaments in Fairview this past weekend and also on Friday. They didn‘t win a big trophy but most of the girls were very happy and did receive a medal to keep to remind them of their accomplishments. We thank those who participated in the coaching staff for this team - they are fabulous. We all enjoyed the event and the girls celebrated with a pizza party at Snappy’s Pizza in Fairview. Everyone had a great time and by the time you do all the practices and games this group feels like family. Thanks to all who participated in this effort and all the time they put into it. Thanks also to all parents, grandparents, friends and others who supported the girls in this effort. The girls won second place in the district games as an All-Star team.
Well it will be soon that the local schools as well as many around us will be back in session so there will be lots of shopping and preparing for the coming school year. I know many are excited and ready to return to the school room.
Praying for each of you and hope you have a great week and remember those who are less fortunate. Visit if you can or send a card and maybe a phone call to let them know you think about them.
