Gordonsburg/ Little Swan News

This past week has been a continuation of temperatures in the nineties and eighties alomos every day, but this week seems that we might have some lower temperatures and even nights in the sixties which would be really nice. Last Friday we had a thunderstorm with high winds and heavy rain there was some trees down in the area and lots of limbs and twigs around the roads and yards but as far as I know there was no major damage.

Those that I know of that are sick at home, in the hospital or nursing homes are; G Y Bennett, Connie Bonner, Dorothy Brown, L. C. Bowen, Amy Carroll, Joann Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Tommy Carroll is home following heart surgery, Spencer Clark, Fada Clay, Bailey Cromwell,Tommy Edwards has been diagonosed with lung cancer, Buffy Farnsworth, Christy Hinson, Wayne Holloway, Eddie Holt, Faye Kilpatrick, Monette King, Colben Lay, Greg McCann, Jackie McFall, John Nati, Earl Rasbury, Tommy Rasbury, Shirley Reeves, Marsha Runions, Mona Runions, Vera Runions, Neil Skelton, Casey Tripp, Brantlee Tripp, Jim and Jan Walker, Diane White, and Annette Williams. I understand the local nursing home is once again under quarantine so remember this if you planned to visit. Let us pray for our area and nation as we wish for healing of those who are sick.

Happy birthday to Landon Odom and Tracy Marales the 6th, Kelli Burcham and David Clayton the 7th, Lucas Runions he 8th, Jennifer Lewis and Jenna Tompkins the 9th, Shasta Turner the 10th, Amber Lancaster the 11th and Toriea Henderson and Quienten Carroll the 12th, we wish for these a very good day and may they have many more to celebrate.

Happy anniversary to Collin and Amber Lancaster the 11th and we wish for them many more happy years to celebrate life together.

Sending congradulations and best wishes to Jake and Amanda Odom on thier marriage, may they have a wonderful life together and may peace and love always be the center of their universe.

We express our sympathy to the families of Bohdi Moon Horner, Bobby Frazier, Deborah Ann Hines Keltner, James Harold “Rusty” Onweller, Norma Jean Anglin, Darryl Glen Brady, Lonzo Layton Wendall, Mary Lou Howell, and Janice Joann Hinson. Prayers for these and other families that are learning to live without someone you love for this is not easy and can cause much pain and sorrow.

Most children are back in school now and some are happy and then others seem to not like school but they do not realize that this is the best time of their lives. For the most part they do not have to worry about things for someone else takes care of them and their needs are taken care of and they are loved no matter what happens. We wish for them a happy year and that it might be a good year without many of the things that we had to adjust to last year and the year before. Praying for the healing of our nation and all the other countries many of which are suffereing much more than we.

Prayers that your family may be healthy and content for the coming days and that you may remember those who are less fortunate and help where you can. We sometimes forget those who are less fortunate and a card or phone call would let them know we care about them. May God bless you and your family.
