Jim and Barbara Volner celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Jim and Barbara Volner of Perry County celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, August 14 at The Antrim in Columbia. Friends and family enjoyed songs of number one singles from 1971.

Jim's sister Anne Bracken and her husband Phil traveled the farthest distance from Pennsylvania. Other friends and family were from Alabama, Virginia, Mississippi and all parts of Tennessee from Memphis to Jonesboro.

The Volner's were married June 4, 1971. Barbara is from Humboldt and Jim is from Milan. They live on their century farm in Perry County and are members of Hohenwald First Methodist Church.
