Question on the Street: What's the best advice you've had? or What's the best advice you've received?

Series: Question on the Street | Story 3

Free advice is worth what you pay for it, or so they say.

Nevertheless, the five answers to this "Question on the Street" seem reasonable.

You be the judge of the value of the answers as we report; you decide.

Kegan Carroll said, "Take your own path. Don't follow somebody else's. You control your actions."

Parth Darji said, "Don't take what's not yours," Parth Darji said, adding "Don't let someone take what's yours."

"Never have a payment more than what you bring in in a week's time," said Cheryl Dudley. She spoke in a corner store where Parth Darji works.

Dan Riley said, "Don't get your loving where you get your pay check."

Theresa Gifford identified the source of advice she's found to be true. "It's more important to like your husband than to 'love' him," Gifford said. "My mother was right." Father knows best. Mothers speaks from the heart.
