Verna Ruth Brown

On August 13, 2021, Verna Ruth Brown unexpectedly passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia at the age of 76. She was born in Beaumont, Texas on November 11, 1944 to the late Midgie and Sara Barrow.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Brown.

Ms. Verna is survived by her loving son, William Brown and daughter-in-law Nicole Brown; grandchildren, William, Emma, Walker, and Mason Heverly Brown, and Darren Lee; special friend, Jillian Taylor; and brothers, Rob and Leroy Brown, both from Texas.

A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22 in the chapel of Adair Funeral and Cremation Services. Mrs. Brown will be laid to rest beside her husband in High Island Cemetery in Texas.
