Mrs. Kimberly Carol Himes, age 42, wife of Josh Himes, and a resident of Summertown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 23, 2021.

A native of Columbia, Kimberly was born on December 23, 1978, and was the daughter of William Lester (Dawn) Malugin and the late Judy Lee Delk. She married Josh Himes on October 1, 2016. Kimberly was an extremely hard worker who could drive just about any piece of heavy machinery. She enjoyed gardening and being on the river. She had a special love for all animals, but especially turtles and peace frogs. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends who will dearly miss her.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by her son, Michael Jared Malugin of Murfreesboro; brother, William Keith (Lydia) Malugin of Murfreesboro; beloved mother in law, Charlotte Himes of Hampshire; sister in law, Daphne Ingram of Hampshire; step siblings, Kyle Edwards, and Hope Edwards; and nieces and nephews, Will Malugin, Lily Beth Malugin, Jillian Malugin, Miller Malugin, Kody (Maddie) Pruitt, Kelsi (Daman) Doner, Karissa Pruitt, Bailee Ingram, and Marlee Ingram.

Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Margaret Delk and James and Drucilla Malugin.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Paul Vaughn officiating. Burial followed in Pisgah Cemetery. A visitation was held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisted the family with arrangements.

Pallbearers were Michael Malugin, Stone Riner, CJ Pedrick, Will Malugin, Miller Malugin, Dustin Pedrick, and Kyle Edwards.
