The Lewis County High School Lady Panthers volleyball team hosted the Perry County Lady Vikings on Thursday, August 19, 2021.
Lewis County started the varsity match putting together point runs to open up a lead on their way to taking the first set by a score of 25 to 14. The second set was more of the same from the Lady Panthers as they pulled away to take the set 25-18 to build a 2-0 lead in the match. To close out the varsity match the Lady Panthers again dominated the visitors, securing the match win by taking the third set 25-11 and the match 3-0. Aly Stutts had 8 hits and 4 aces, Madasyn Durham 3 hits, 6 aces, and 7 digs, Serenity Warman 7 hits, 5 aces, and 4 digs, Keira Halbrooks 7 hits, Mya Siever 6 hits and 2 digs, Reese Duncan a hit and 2 aces, and Presly Hill 2 hits and a dig.
The Lady Panthers junior varsity squared off with the Lady Vikings JV and Lewis County started the match strong. Using multiple point runs the Lady Panther took the first set 25-16. The second set was a tightly contested set that saw Lewis County take the win 25-22 to take a 2-0 lead. In the third and final JV set the Lady Panthers squeaked out a 16-14 win to take the junior varsity match 3-0. Jayden Moore had 3 hits and a dig, Presly Hill 2 hits and an ace, Chloe Stewart 2 aces, Mayce Collins 2 hits, and Allee Carroll 2 hits.
