Lady Panthers fall to Lady Rebels

The Lewis County Middle School Lady Panthers volleyball team played the Leoma Lady Rebels on Thursday, September 9th at home.

Playing at home early on Thursday prior to the Homecoming festivities at A.B. Sisco Athletic Field, the Lady Panthers came out on fire. In the first set of the match, the Lady Panthers used several point-runs to pull in front of Leoma and finished the first set with a 25-20 win. After the break, the Lady Rebels regrouped and forced extra points in the second set. After a tough set where the teams exchanged the lead, it was Leoma that took the set 27-25, setting up a deciding third set. In the final set of the match the Lady Rebels were able to pull away from the Lady Panthers for a 15-9 set win and a 2-1 match victory.
