Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
February 3, 1945 ~ September 28, 2021
Mrs. Brenda Gale Ogg Fowler Sanderfur went to be with our Lord and Savior in the early morning hours on September 28, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Hohenwald on February 3, 1945, to the late Buford and Mary Vesta Ogg. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings Bobby Ogg, Karen Ogg, and Peggy Pogue.
She was very well known for her love of cooking and baking. She often taught those around her the special family recipes to be handed down to future generations.
Brenda was a very strong, hardworking mother, wife, sister, and grandmother. Throughout her life she owned and operated many flower shops in various towns. Being in the business of retail she never met a stranger and was always ready to help when needed and made you feel welcomed the instant you walked through the door.
Mrs. Fowler is survived by her husband Mr. Ed Sanderfur; her two sons Jeffrey Milton Simmons (April) and Bobby H. Simmons; grandchildren Austin Simmons (Katelyn), Chloe Simmons Bell, Raven Simmons, Elijah Simmons, Addie Simmons, Hannah Simmons, Brenna Simmons, Shelby Simmons, and Braxley Simmons; and great grandchildren Campbell Simmons and Cephas Bell; and stepmother Melba Hinson Ogg. She also leaves behind her stepdaughter Pamela Phelps and husband Lewis and their children and her siblings Monette King, Jerry Ogg, Donetta Carroll, and Danny Ogg.
Visitation with family and friends was held Wednesday September 29, 2021, in the Chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services. A funeral service followed with brother John Blackwell officiating.
A burial will take place later.
