LCHS Volleyball versus Mt. Pleasant

The Lewis County High School Lady Panthers volleyball team closed out their regular season at home on Tuesday, September 28th as they hosted the Mount Pleasant Lady Tigers.

Playing in front of the home crowd for the final time of the 2021 season, the Lady Panthers came out inspired and played a tight opening set. The Lady Panthers and Lady Tigers exchanged the lead multiple times in the first set as Lewis County edged Mount Pleasant 25-23 in the first. The Lady Tigers regrouped for the second set and pulled away to a 25-15 second set win to tie the match at one set each. Lewis County came back in the third and battled to extra points before falling 26-24, giving the Lady Tigers a 2-1 edge heading into the fourth set. In what would be the final set of the regular season, the Lady Panthers fell behind and were unable to mount a comeback, dropping the fourth set 25-19 and the match 3-1. Cabry Hill had 19 hits, 4 aces, 4 digs, and a kill for Lewis County. Madasyn Durham had 16 hits, 5 aces, 6 digs, and 1 kill, Keira Halbrooks had 13 hits and 2 kills, Serenity Warman had 9 hits, 2 aces, and 2 digs, Mya Siever had 4 hits and 4 digs, Aly Stutts had 4 hits, 3 aces, and a dig, and Isabel Greve had 3 hits, 2 aces, and 3 digs.

The Lady Panther junior varsity and the Lady Tiger junior varsity played a junior varsity match before the start of the varsity match. The Lady Tiger JV took an early lead in the junior varsity match and pulled away to a big lead and cruised to an opening set win 25-9. The Lady Panther JV played a cleaner second match, but the Lady Tiger JV maintained the momentum and took the second set by a score of 25-16, winning the junior varsity match 2-0. Keira Halbrooks had 5 hits and 2 kills in the junior varsity match, Kerrigan Reeves had 5 hits and a dig, Shay Kilpatrick had 4 hits, Isabel Greve had 2 hits and 2 aces, Allee Ray Carroll had 2 hits, and Maddie Crowell had a hit.
