Ronnie Dale Belew, 72, of Hohenwald passed from this life on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia.

Ronnie was born on January 18, 1949, to Loyd Virgil Belew and Ruby Rebecca (Huggins) Belew. He was born at the Boyce Clinic here in Hohenwald.

Ronnie worked as a General Manager at Genesco for many years. He retired in the late 90's with over thirty years of service. He loved to be outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening as much as he could. He was a huge Alabama fan and never missed watching the Tide play football. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church for many years. Above all, his favorite part of life came when he was given the name "Pop". He enjoyed time with his family and grandchildren more than anything.

He is survived by his wife, Libby Belew; daughter, Amy (Rodney) Lomax, both of Hohenwald; grandchildren, Ashley (Michael) Prentice of Henderson, Emily Lomax and Ansley Lomax of Hohenwald; one great-grandchild, Parker Prentice; and one sister, Annette Garner of Dyersburg. He is also survived by Shelia Carroll and Kenya Bunch, special family friends.

Visitation with the family was held on Saturday, November 6, from 4:30-8:00 p.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald. Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 7, at 1:00 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Napier Cemetery.
