Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
Local non-profit Hope Hohenwald Inc. received a Local Community Grant in the amount of $2000 from Hohenwald Walmart and Walmart Pharmacy.
To receive a grant, eligible nonprofit organizations must operate on the local level and directly benefit the service area of the facility from which the funding is dispersed.
"Hohenwald Walmart, alongside Walmart Pharmacy, chose Hope Hohenwald Inc. because of the many ways they serve the needs of people right here in Hohenwald and Lewis County," said Walmart manager Ronda Turner.
President/CEO of Hope Hohenwald, Tonya Woodward added, "We are thankful for the partnership with our local Walmart because it helps us continue our mission."
The mission of Hope Hohenwald Inc. is to improve the quality of life in our community by providing opportunities for children, youth, and families to break the cycle of crime, poverty, hopelessness, hunger, and destructive lifestyles.
In addition to this grant, Walmart is providing a way for their customers to give back this holiday season. Last year Hope Hohenwald Inc. provided warm clothing and toys to 207 children in need in Lewis County through an annual outreach, Hope for the Holidays.
During the Black Friday sales events, signs will be posted on select items that are needed to fill children's needs and wish lists. Customers can purchase items and Walmart associates will collect them for Hope Hohenwald Inc. or they are welcome to drop off donations at their facility at 217 North Park Street, Hohenwald.
