The Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Hohenwald is accepting applications for the full-time position of Power Sports Technology Instructor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical Diploma or Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years current work experience in the Power Sports field in the last five years.
• Any type of related industry certification will be beneficial.
• Evidence of potential ability in instruction. Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Evidence of proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
• Show evidence of good character, organizational skills and mature attitude.
GENERAL DUTIES:
• Teach all phases of Power Sports Technology and manage rotation of students that includes instruction in repair/maintenance of recreational equipment such as marine, motorcycle, and ATV.
• Assist in recruitment and job placement of students.
• Must be willing to remain current in the field by participating in professional development activities.
• Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress.
• Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports.
• Maintain good public relations with business and industry.
• Develop and maintain an active Advisory Board committee comprised of professionals within the fields of study.
• Communication/computer skills necessary to be an effective instructor.
