Body Discovered in Lewis County; Death Investigation Ongoing

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed to Tennessee River Valley News that a body was recently discovered in rural Lewis County.

The statement read, "TBI special agents and fire investigators are working with investigators with the Lewis County Sheriff's Office on a death investigation there. The body of what is believed to be an adult female was found Sunday afternoon in a wooded area off Springer Road, near Highway 20. An autopsy scheduled later this week is expected to confirm the individual's identity. This continues to be an active and ongoing investigation."...
