Series: Gordonsburg | Story 79

For those who read this article, I missed last week and do apologize but my daughter Selina had surgery and so we have not been in the regular routine. She is still in Maury Regional but hopes to be home today. Know that you have seen the weather for the last couple of weeks go from summer temperatures to freeze of winter temperatures, this always hurts more than when it gets cold and stays cold. We had lots of rain and stormy weather but at least we escaped the terrible tornadoes that plagued many areas and states around us. We pray for all those and know that it takes a long, long time to recover from the loss of lives and property and even jobs when these disasters strike.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: G.Y. Bennett, Connie Bonner, Dorothy Brown, Teresa Capps, Amy Carroll, Girdie Carroll, Joann Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Spencer Clark, Fada Clay, Bailey Cromwell, Monica Dupont, Johnny Dryden, Buffy Farnsworth, Wilburn Franks, Callie Garrison, Connie Lindsey, Labri Kendrick (had pacemaker put in), Lyda Mae Hooper, Monette King, Colben Ly, Raquel Mallari, Linda Mercer, Greg McCann, Jackie McFall, Bill Moore, Norene O’Kelly, Donna Owen, Colene Rasbury, Shirley Reeves, Marsha Runions, Mona Runions, Bill Seiber, Joe Shipp, Nell Skelton, Madelyn Tharp, Jenna Tompkins, Jim and Jan Walker, Diane White, Chris Whitehead, Annette Williams and Selina Young (had colon surgery for removal of ulcers in her colon - several inches were removed). Please pray for these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.

We wish a happy late birthday to Mark McDonald the 17th, Jared Tripp the 18th, Ken Kauffman the 19th, to Edna Garner the 20th, Anda James the 22nd, and happy birthday to Bonnie Haigh, Bill Owen and Christy Clayton the 26th, to Melissa Grinder the 26th, Scotty Brewer the 27th, Shelia Troutman, Presley Clayton, Kathy Deline and Carol Bates the 28th, to Scarlett Brewer the 29th, to Tori Howell, Janice Johnston, Nicholas and Nathaniel Reeves the 30th, and Leon Hunter, Jake and Josh White the 31st. Wishing for these a very happy birthday and many more to celebrate life.

Happy anniversary to James and Mary Ann Whitehead the 24th, and to Jimmy and Wanda Barber the 25th. We wish for these couples many more years to celebrate life together.

Prayers for all these families and any others that we may not know about.

Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas and hope that you and your family will be able to spend time together, for this is what makes the holidays special. Most families have some traveling from place to place and we wish for them safe travels wherever they go. Remember that this is a season for remembering what God did for us as this is the time of year we celebrate Jesus’ birth.

Praying for you and yours to have a great week and rest of the year for we will soon be entering the year of 2022. We pray that it will be a great year and that the illnesses that plague the world will be removed and our lives can reach some similitude of what we call normal.
