Richard Earl Whitehead

Richard Whitehead, of Hohenwald, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, at the age of 84. Richard was born on October 16, 1937, to Harvel Whitehead and Vera (Clay) Whitehead in Wayne County.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He worked for Murray Ohio for many years before his retirement. Richard was married to the love of his life, Elizabeth, until her passing years ago. He was a dedicated member of the North Highland Church of Christ until his health kept him from going.

He is survived by his sons, Greg (Theresa) Whitehead of Hohenwald, and Jason Whitehead of Waynesboro. He also leaves behind one sister, Shirley White, four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday, December 20, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the North Highland Cemetery in Wayne County.
