Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
In some ways New Year's Eve didn't seem to be the time to celebrate the coming of 2022 this year. Certainly it was a great reason to say good riddance to 2021 A number of things being a factor, firstly Covid19 carried on into its third year and didn't seem to be close to ending, in fact outbreaks across the country had risen over the past month. Secondly the weather and thirdly the economy. All, or some of which might have been part of the reason that people really didn't want to celebrate and just stayed curled up in front of the fire and were tucked up in bed before midnight.
Not so at Michael Anthony's Lewis and Clark restaurant in the centre of Hohenwald that packed them in with food, drinks and party favours.
One person said that people were concerned about the spread of Covid 19 but with many of those having had the full three doses of the vaccine since last year, they tended to take a chance.
It was certainly the place to be in Lewis County as close to one hundred and fifty people, maybe more, laughed, danced and just had a good time through the midnight hour to the music supplied by who better than Hohenwalds favorite DJ "Pineapple" Barber. It was a time to let off steam, and with so many problems to worry about, where better to be than Lewis and Clark. Good food, good company for our New Year's Eve revellers and a Happy New Year from Michael and all his staff.
