Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
We have reached the last day of the first month of a new year and hopefully the rest of the year will see a less people sick with diseases that have plagued us during this first month. As for the weather it has been really cold, but this is winter, and I suppose that is to be expected. We had snow again on Friday, but it was short lived and disappeared quickly which suited me just find. It was mostly pellet snow and then some large flakes but as I said it didn’t last long land did not even cover the ground but some counties around us did have some on the ground but not much.
Those I know of who are sick either at home, nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Wanda Barber, Vickie Bates, G.Y. Bennett, Connie Bonner, Dorothy Brown, Teresa Capps, Colby Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, William Carroll, Spencer Clark, Fada Clay, Bailey Cromwell, Johnny Dryden, Monica Dupont, Wayne Dye, Buffy Farnsworth, Wilburn Franks, Callie Garrison, Connie Lindsey, Labri Kendricks, Lyda Mae Hooper, Terry Kelley, Monette King, Colben Ly, Raquel Mallari, Linda Mercer, Greg McCann, Jackie McFall, Bill Moore, Norene O’Kelly, Rodney Odom, Donna Owen, Pam Pullman, Colene Rasbury, John Rawdon, Shirley Reeves, Ricky Risner, Marsha Runions, Mona Runions, Bill Seiber, Joe Ship, Nell Skelton, Melissa Stutts, Madlyn Tharp, Jim and Jan Walker, Diane White, Chris Whitehead, and Annette Williams. Please pray for these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones Eddie Netherton, John Barkeley Ary, Steven “Buddy” Roden, Loretta m. Pac, Emily Frances Mai Baker, Opal L. Halbrooks, Sherry Melissa Hinkle, Charles “Charlie” Anthony List, William Earl Morris, Dalton James Wood, Samuel Monroe Tyler, and Tonya Earline Wise. Prayers for all these families and any others that we may not know about.
The children have finally had a week with no days being missed because of snow. I know they love the snow as well as being out of school and playing in the snow and doing things like building snowmen and making snow angels. It has been really cold at night so be sure you bundle your children up if they are out watching for the bus or go out to play at school. Several days the temperature has not been out of the thirties. For me this is much too cold. I myself and several others that I have heard express an opinion are ready for spring and warmer weather. I know the ground hog is supposed to let us know but I have yet to see what a ground hog in the upper corner of the states can predict our weather.
Remember to pray for all those who are shut-in or sick in nursing homes or at home and visit if possible or send a card or make a phone call, this at least lets them know that someone thinks about them and cares how they are doing.
Prayers for you and your family and hope you have a wonderful week and enjoy your family and friends.
