Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898

Steven "Buddy" Michael Roden

On the morning of January 27, 2022, at the age of 65, Steven “Buddy” Michael Roden passed from this earthly world with his wife by his side. Buddy was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 22, 1956, to Lorene Dotson Edwards and the late Odis Roden.

After graduating from high school, Mr. Roden knew he wanted to protect and serve his country and enlisted in the United States Army. After serving in the military, he began his career as a transportation truck driver which allowed him to travel and take in God’s beauty that surrounded him daily.

On March 27, 2010, he married his soulmate, Jennifer Marie Hilton. Anyone who was around these two could see the endless love they had for one another. If there were ever two people that belong together, it was them.

Buddy enjoyed the simplicity of life on his own little farm he named Roden Acres Mini-Farm where he enjoyed taking care of his horses and just being outside. On game days there wasn’t a prouder fan than Buddy as he cheered on his team “Alabama”.

Along with his wife and mother, Buddy is survived by his children, Stephanie Roden, Steven (Lucia) Roden Jr., Shawn (Marie) Roden, Scott (Josh) Roden, Shane Roden, Sara (Aaron) Illardi, and Jack Roden; grandchildren, Chloe, Chanel, Gianni, Mickey, Natalia, Angelo, Shawn, Gianna, Anthony, Adrian, Theo (aka Mullet man), and Naomi. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his siblings, Anthony, Judy, Linda, Mark, Darryl, Rita, Wanda, Lysa, Deborah, Charlie, and Ashley.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 5, 2022, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Thousand Hills Cowboy Church, 1025 Brewer Road, Ethridge, with Bro. Nathan Duncan officiating. Adair Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
