Dennis Wilkinson

Dennis G. Wilkinson, age 75, a resident of Backwoods Drive, Hohenwald, passed away on January 25, 2022.

Born May 3, 1946, in London England, he was the son of the late Amos L. Wilkinson and Lillia Morris. Dennis retired from University Tires of Columbia. Dennis loved to fish, that was his hobby. You ask him let's go fishing, he was ready to go. He loved spending every moment with his granddaughter Ally.

He is survived by his companion, Diane Sparkman; children, Dale, Terry, Bobby (Ginean), Brian (Angie), Sherry, and Tina; sisters, Darlene (Mike) Isabell, Brenda (John) Benderman, and Angela (Jimmy) Burgett; brother, Randall (Cindy) Wilkinson; one uncle, Carl (Joyce) Wilkinson; and two aunts, Susie Wilkinson and Rebecca Davis; a host of nephews and nieces; a host of grandkids and great-grandkids; and a host of cousins.

Special friends included Kim and Allen Mangrum, the Odom family, and the Sparkman family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos L. Wilkinson and Lillian Morris; stepmother, Betty Wilkinson; daughter, Jaunice Wilkinson; brother, Terry Wilkinson; and sister, Lisa White.

Funeral services for Dennis were held Saturday, January 29, 2022, in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Burial followed in Barnevilles Cemetery in Summertown. Pallbearers were Carson Bennett, Allen Mangrum, Terry Wilkinson, Darrell Wilkinson, Amos Wilkinson, and William Odom.
