Dorothy Moon

February 20, 1949 - February 12, 2022

Dorothy L. Moon, of Hohenwald, passed from this life on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, at the age of 72. Dorothy was born on February 20, 1949, to Horace and Elsie Hinson in Paducah, Kentucky.

She later married Billy Moon and they settled in Hohenwald. She worked at Genesco and H.I.S. in Hohenwald before retiring and becoming a homemaker.

She is survived by her sons, Stacy (Tiffany) Moon, and Garland Bud Moon; sister, Donna (Paul) Conner, all of Hohenwald; grandchildren, Cody Moon of Linden, Casey Moon and Caleb Moon of Hohenwald; and one great-grandchild, Ava Mae Moon.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Hinson.

Visitation with the family was held on Wednesday, February 16, at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. Graveside services was held immediately following in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens with Glen Floyd officiating.
