Garland "G.Y." Young Bennett

"G.Y." Garland Young Bennett of Hohenwald passed away Friday evening, February 11, 2022 at the age of 82. He was born June 29, 1939 in Hohenwald to the late Willie Bennett and Clista Carroll.

Mr. G.Y., as many people knew him, married the love of his life, Mrs. Lois on March 19, 1960, and this year they would have celebrated 62 years of marriage. He enjoyed the simple things in life such as farming, hunting, fishing and football. He served as Sheriff of Lewis County for eight years from 1976 - 1984.
