The Lewis County Lady Panthers and Panthers concluded their District 10AA and regular season schedule on the road as they traveled to Summertown to face the Lady Eagles and Eagles on Friday, February 11.

In their final regular season game and final district game of 2021-22, the Lady Panthers fell being the Lady Eagles early on. Summertown held Lewis County scoreless for the first eight minutes of the game and took a 24-0 lead into the second quarter. Lewis County would get n the board in the second quarter, but the Lady Eagles would continue to pull away as the lead grew to 49-7 at the half. The teams came out of the break and Summertown continued to dominate as they outscored the Lady Panthers 19-4 in the period and held a commanding 68-11 lead into the fourth. With a running clock for the final eight minutes, the Lady Panthers would get 6 from Serenity Warman and outscore Summertown 12-6, but dropped the final 74-23. Serenity Warman finished with 8 points for the Lady Panthers, Blayr Clayton and Mya Siever 4 each, Ruth Jennings 3, and Kerrigan Reeves and Desirae Warman 2 points each.

The Panthers and Eagles took the floor in the second game of the night, and Summertown jumped out in front early as they outscored the Panthers 24-10 in the opening quarter of action. In the second period the Panthers would fight back with Malachi Bruce (6) and Dyer Barnes (5) leading the charge to outscore the Eagles 18-17 in the quarter and cut the Eagle lead to 41-28 at the half. The Eagles would dominate the second quarter as they outscored the Panthers 29-12 in the third and took a controlling 70-40 lead into the fourth quarter. Summertown would cruise through the fourth quarter to take the win 83-54. Rhett Middleton and Malachi Bruce each had 12 points for the Panthers in the loss, Austin Shepherd finished with 10 points, Dyer Barnes 7, Caden Anderson and Steele Moseley 5 each, Hunter Smith 2, and Bryson Clayburn 1 point.

The Lady Panthers and Panthers were back on the hardwood on Tuesday, February 8th as they hosted the Lady Mustangs and Mustangs of Loretto.

The undefeated Lady Mustangs, who defeated the Lady Panthers 82-9 on January 21st, wasted little time jumping out in front on Tuesday night. The Lady Mustang pressure and high-scoring offense took control early in the contest as Loretto outscored Lewis County 29-5 in the first eight minutes of action. The Lady Mustangs continued their onslaught in the second quarter, limiting the Lady Panthers to 6 points in the period while pulling out to a 64-11 lead at halftime. In the third quarter Lewis County was held to only 4 Serenity Warman points as the visitors would take an 80-15 lead into the final quarter of regulation. With a running clock for the final eight minutes, Lewis County would be held to 1 point as Loretto took the win 89-16. Serenity Warman had 8 points for the Lady Panthers, Kerrigan Reeves had 4, Mya Siever 3, and Blayr Clayton 1.

In the second game of the evening the Panthers and Mustangs took the court. Lewis County jumped out in front in a slow paced opening eight minutes as Dyer Barnes (6) and Rhett Middleton (4) accounted for all the Panther scoring and Lewis County held q 10-5 lead at the end of the first. Loretto bounced back in the second quarter to cut into the Panther lead . Austin Shepherd would drop 5 in the second for Lewis County, but Loretto would cut the Panther lead to 23-22 at halftime.The Mustangs would continue to pressure the Panthers in the third and the Mustangs would take the lead at the end of the period 46-40 despite 8 more points from Shepherd. Dyer Barnes would turn it on in the fourth, scoring 13 in the quarter, as the Panthers tried to come back. But it was Loretto that would hold on for the win 62-55. Dyer Barnes led the Panthers with 19 points, Austin Shepherd had 13, Rhett Middleton 12, Hunter Smith 6, Bryson Clayburn 3, and Malachi Bruce 2.
