Gordonsburg/Little Swan News

Series: Gordonsburg | Story 90

Although the weather has been good for the most part, there have been some nights in the low thirties. Many of the days have been in the upper sixties and even in the seventies a few days. We had a wonderful weekend after the rains the later part of last week. The birds are really singing and busy building nests and I love to hear the doves coo when I am outside. I feed them on the ground because they won’t get on the feeders, don’t know why.

There have been many out and working on yards and gardens this past week and weekend as the weather has been really nice for the most part. It is time to clean yards to get ready to mow and clean up around the houses and yards.

Let us remember to pray for those people in the Ukraine where there is so much suffering and people being displaced from their homes because of the fighting. Remember that this could happen to our country so be caring and say a special prayer for them. Many wives and children are being sent to safety and their husbands and fathers are staying to fight and protect their homes and life.

The children will enjoy a week of spring break next week so many will be doing special things and maybe even traveling to other places to visit or enjoy a week of vacation. Many of the children are playing ball and other sports as the spring begins and moves on toward summer. Some are even anxious to go to the creeks around the area, but the water will not warm up until the nights get to be warmer. Be careful as you travel around the area for sometimes children forget to watch the roads when going from on place to another.

Praying for you and your family to have a great week and enjoy the many beautiful shrubs and trees that are beginning to bloom around the area. I love this sign of spring and warmer weather. Of course when it gets hot we will probably complain about the heat as we have the cold this winter.
