Debra Gulley Mercer

April 30, 1957 ~ March 15, 2022

Debra Gulley Mercer, 64, of Hohenwald, unexpectedly passed away on March 15, 2022. Ms. Debra was born in Hammond, Indiana on April 30, 1957, to the late Wiley Thomas and Luella Allen Gulley.

In her spare time, she enjoyed attending the women's group gatherings for Blondy Church and crocheting various items for herself and her family. Her favorite pasttime was spending as much time as she could with her grandbabies. They always brought the biggest smile to her face each time she would see them. Debra had the biggest heart of anyone, and her loving and caring side was always willing to help anyone in need.

Ms. Mercer is survived by her children, Chad (Judy) Mercer, Tracy Quillen and Grace (Chris) Mutii; grandchildren, Cory Peters, Shawn Peters, Charles Quillen, Lillyonna Mutii, and Lemayian Mutii; and great-grandchild, Sammi Peters.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Elmer, Terry, and Larry Gulley; and his sister, Faye Gulley Head. She was also recently preceded in death by her son-in-law, Terry Quillen.

There will be a private family service at a later time. Adair Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
