Floyd awarded Tennessee Certified Residential Appraiser License

After completing all degree, specialized education, experience, and successfully passing the exhaustive Tennessee Certified Residential Appraiser exam, Benjamin T. Floyd has been awarded his Tennessee Certified Residential Appraiser License on May 3, 2022. This is the top tier of the residential appraiser licensing in Tennessee.

Benjamin's final interview was conducted by Vice-Chair Jim Atwood, SRA of the Tennessee Appraiser Commission on that date, and after unanimous approval of the other state commission members, it is official.

As a Certified Residential Appraiser in Tennessee, Benjamin is able to deliver a professional opinion of value involving any residential property, as well as some agricultural and commercial properties, for any purpose.

Benjamin began his career in finance at the Bank of Perry County. He later began working parttime as a registered appraiser trainee with his father, G. Dale Floyd, in 2012. Four years later, he joined Floyd Appraisal Works full time, allowing him to complete his education and training.

As a trainee initially, and later a fully licensed appraiser, Benjamin has performed multiple assignments involving conventional and non-conventional valuation appraisals throughout several counties of Mid-Tennessee. As a seasoned appraiser, he is recognized as an expert in this profession locally, and Lewis County has reason to take notice. Benjamin is presently a candidate member of the American Society of Appraisers, a member of the Middle Tennessee ASA/IFA Chapter, a practicing affiliate of the Appraisal Institute, and Vice President of the Tennessee Appraiser Coalition. Benjamin is also the Sr. Vice President of Floyd Appraisal Works located at 108 East 2nd Avenue in Hohenwald, Tennessee.

"The road to certification is so tough today, and Benjamin has proven himself to be an excellent analyst in this industry. I have been in this business since the beginning of the federal licensing directives which came into place in 1991. I can easily say without any reservation, that Ben is one of the very best in this business. Speaking for the staff of Floyd Appraisal Works, as well as all the family, we are all very proud." stated G. Dale Floyd, Jr., ASA, IFA, MNAA

Benjamin is the son of Glen Dale & Cindy Floyd and Candace Faith & Bill Bates. He is married to Whitley (Clayton) Floyd, and they have three sons: Henry, Jack, and Isaac Floyd.

He is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser with the firm of Floyd Appraisal Works, 108 East 2nd Ave, Hohenwald, TN. 931-796-2732 / [email protected].
