Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
I am Larry Hensley and I am seeking re-election for County Commissioner for the 3rd District of Lewis County. I am a life-long Republican who supports Donald Trump. My wife and I have been married for 55 years. I have 3 children, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
I have dedicated my life to serving Lewis County. I served with the Hohenwald Police Department from 1980 to 1990 prior to running for Sheriff of Lewis County. I served as Sheriff for Lewis County from 1990 until 1994 where I was shot in the line of duty. After recovery I re-joined the Hohenwald Police Department from 1994 until 2007 where I spent the remainder of my career which was ended in the line of duty by an intoxicated driver that struck my vehicle.
I currently serve as part-time security for the Lewis County Government. I am a member of The Sanctuary First Pentecostal Church where I am a member of the Church Board. I have served as a County Commissioner for the past 8 years and have sat on the Solid Waste Committee. I hope to continue serving Lewis County in this capacity for the next 4 years.
I will not vote to add new taxes or fees to our community. I will continue to work to make sure that we solve the issues that our community faces and do it without putting more of a burden on our citizens. I will not be bullied or pushed to vote a specific way. I will listen and speak with my constituents about the things that matter most to them and about solutions to our problems.
A vote for me is a vote for the values and goals that makes Lewis County the place that we are all proud to live! I have put my life and limbs in harms way for this community, and I am the best person to make sure that our way of life is protected and preserved. I appreciate your consideration and vote.
